Yes you do unless it’s a private road. We apply for the permit on your behalf, it takes Highways 5 working days to approve your skip on the road. You cannot have the skip on the road until Highways have approved. The permit will last 7 days and we can apply for an extension (takes 3 days to extend) If the skip is being placed in a parking bay then additional permission is required and payment, this is completed by the hirer.
When applying for permits they must be paid for in advance.
The following items are not allowed : Asbestos, Gas cylinders, Tyres, Large Tree Roots, Fridges & Freezers, Paint, Liquid waste/Chemicals and Plasterboard
